Product Description
The APS12450 is a three-wire planar Hall-effect sensor IC designed for automotive safety-related systems, developed in accordance with ISO 26262:2011 with ASIL B capability. It features an enhanced three-wire interface with interconnect open/short diagnostics and a fault state for diagnostic communication, maintaining compatibility with legacy systems. Continuous background diagnostics are transparent to the host, reducing fault tolerant time. Options include magnetic switchpoints, temperature coefficient, and output polarity, with response adaptable to SmCo, NdFeB, or ferrite magnets. For a functionally equivalent three-wire switch, refer to the APS11450.
