Product Overview
The ATS617 is a dynamic, self-calibrating, peak-detecting, differential Hall effect gear tooth sensor IC. It offers highly accurate gear edge detection, even at low operating speeds, due to its automatic gain control and integrated capacitor. This device is ideal for systems requiring precise speed, position, and timing information from gear-tooth configurations, such as automotive camshaft sensing. Its patented peak-detecting filter provides immunity to magnetic and system offsets, and it can discriminate fast changes caused by gear wobble or eccentricity. The ATS617 is designed for easy integration and provides stable operation down to extremely low RPM.
