Product Overview
The APS12450 is a three-wire planar Hall-effect sensor IC designed for automotive safety-related systems. It offers ASIL B capability (pending assessment) and features enhanced three-wire interface diagnostics for interconnect open/short detection and a fault state. Continuous background diagnostics are transparent to the host system, reducing fault tolerant time. The sensor provides multiple product options for magnetic switchpoints, temperature coefficient, and output polarity, and is compatible with SmCo, NdFeB, or ferrite magnets. It is suitable for applications requiring functional safety and ruggedness in harsh environments.
