Product Overview

The A31316 is a robust 3D Hall-effect magnetic position sensor designed for on-axis and off-axis rotary as well as linear stroke position measurement. It integrates vertical and planar Hall-effect elements with precision temperature-compensation circuitry to detect magnetic field components. The sensor offers configurable signal processing, linearization, and angle calculation for accurate absolute position resolution. Available with PWM or SENT (SAE J2716) interfaces, it outputs angle or field measurements. On-chip EEPROM allows flexible programming and includes customer identification bits. Developed in accordance with ISO 26262 as a hardware safety element out of context (SEooC) with ASIL B capability, it features integrated diagnostics for high reliability in automotive, industrial, and consumer applications.
