Product Description
The APS13290 and APS13291 are three-wire, planar Hall-effect latch ICs designed for industrial and consumer applications, particularly those requiring operation over extended temperature ranges up to 125C ambient and 175C junction temperatures. These ICs offer enhanced performance and robustness with features like reverse-polarity protection, output current limiting, overvoltage protection, and EMC protection. The integrated silicon chip includes a voltage regulator, Hall plate, amplifier, chopper stabilization, Schmitt trigger, and a short-circuit-protected open-drain output. Operation is triggered by a south pole to turn the output on and a north pole to turn it off. They are suitable for direct connection to vehicle batteries or regulators with supply voltages from 2.8 to 24 V and are available in through-hole (SIP) and surface-mount (SOT23W) packages.
