Product Overview

The APS12625 and APS12626 are dual ultrasensitive Hall-effect latches designed for high-performance motor and encoder applications. These ICs feature integrated vertical and planar Hall elements, providing 2D magnetic sensing capabilities with inherent 90 phase separation independent of magnet pole spacing or air gap. This flexibility eliminates the need for target optimization, simplifying integration. The APS12625 offers Speed and Direction outputs, while the APS12626 provides quadrature outputs (Channel A/B). A unique power-cycling restore feature (-P option) minimizes lost counts/pulses. These devices are ISO 26262:2011 / ASIL A compliant, operate from 2.8 V to 5.5 V, and are automotive-qualified per AEC-Q100 with junction temperatures up to 175C. Typical applications include automotive power closures, electronic power steering, seat/window/sunroof motors, trunk/door/liftgate motors, industrial motors/encoders, and garage door openers.
