Product Overview

The ALS31300 is a three-axis linear Hall-effect sensor IC that provides a 12-bit digital output proportional to the magnetic field along the X, Y, and Z axes. It is preconfigured for 3D sensing applications including head-on linear motion, slide-by position sensing, and rotation angle measurements. The device also supports a joystick mode with a low-gain option for the Z-axis, enabling the use of back-bias magnets for return-to-zero force, eliminating the need for traditional spring-based solutions. With advanced low-power management, including a sleep mode consuming only 14 nA (typical), the ALS31300 is ideal for portable, battery-operated applications. It features a configurable I2C interface for easy system integration and offers multiple selectable I2C addresses.
