Product Overview
The ALS31300 is a three-axis linear Hall-effect sensor IC that provides a 12-bit digital output corresponding to the magnetic field measured along the X, Y, and Z axes. It is preconfigured for 3D sensing applications including head-on linear motion, slide-by position sensing, and rotation angle measurements. The sensor also features a joystick mode with a low-gain option for the Z-axis, enabling the use of back-bias magnets for return-to-zero force. With configurable power management, including a low-power sleep mode consuming only 14 nA (typical), the ALS31300 is well-suited for portable, battery-operated applications. It offers flexible I2C addressing and includes 78 bits of user EEPROM for custom configurations.
