Product Overview

The ALS31300 is a three-axis linear Hall-effect sensor IC that provides a 12-bit digital value proportional to the magnetic field measured along the X, Y, and Z axes. It is preconfigured for 3D sensing applications including head-on linear motion, slide-by position sensing, and rotation angle measurements. The device also supports a joystick mode with a low-gain option for the Z-axis, enabling the use of back-bias magnets for return-to-zero force. With its advanced low-power management, including a sleep mode consuming only 14 nA (typical), the ALS31300 is ideal for portable, battery-operated applications. It features an industry-standard I2C interface for easy system integration and is supplied in a compact 3 mm 3 mm 0.8 mm, 10-contact DFN package.
