Product Overview
The Allegro ACS70310/1 is a fully monolithic linear Hall-effect current sensor IC designed for high-accuracy current sensing in conjunction with a ferromagnetic core. It features a BiCMOS integrated circuitry and a Hall element sensitive to magnetic flux density orthogonal to the IC package surface. The output is an analog voltage proportional to the applied flux density. Factory-programmed segmented linear temperature compensation ensures 1% sensitivity and 5 mV offset error from 25C to 150C, with customer programmability for further accuracy optimization. With a high operating bandwidth from DC to 240 kHz and a fast 2 s response time, it is ideal for high-frequency automotive inverters and DC/DC converters. The ACS70311 variant includes undervoltage detection (UVD) and low-voltage programming capabilities, offering backward compatibility as a drop-in replacement for the ACS70310. Both devices incorporate diagnostics like broken ground wire detection, clamps, power-on reset, and under/overvoltage detection for safety-critical automotive applications. The IC offers reverse battery protection and high immunity to Electrical Overstress (EOS).
