The Allegro MicroSystems ALS31300 is a 12-bit, three-axis linear Hall-effect sensor IC designed for 3D sensing applications. It provides a digital output proportional to the magnetic field along the X, Y, and Z axes, making it suitable for head-on linear motion, slide-by position sensing, and rotation angle measurements. The sensor features a configurable I2C interface, advanced low-power management with a typical sleep current of 14 nA, and multiple factory-programmed sensitivity ranges (500 G, 1000 G, 2000 G). It is offered in a compact 3 mm x 3 mm DFN package, ideal for portable, battery-operated, and space-constrained applications. The ALS31300 also supports a joystick mode with a low-gain Z-axis option, enabling return-to-zero force functionality with back-bias magnets.
