Product Overview

The Allegro MicroSystems ALS31313 is an automotive-grade, 3D linear Hall-effect sensor IC designed for versatile sensing applications. It provides a 12-bit digital output proportional to magnetic fields along the X, Y, and Z axes, making it ideal for head-on linear motion, slide-by position sensing, and rotation angle measurements. The sensor supports a joystick mode with a low-gain Z-axis option for back-bias magnet integration, eliminating the need for traditional spring-based return-to-zero solutions. With configurable power management, including a low 14 nA (typical) sleep current, it is well-suited for portable, battery-operated devices. The ALS31313 features an industry-standard I2C interface for easy system integration and offers multiple selectable sensitivity ranges: 500 G, 1000 G, and 2000 G.
