The Allegro ALS31300 is a three-axis linear Hall-effect sensor IC that provides a 12-bit digital output proportional to the magnetic field along the X, Y, and Z axes. Preconfigured for 3D sensing applications such as head-on linear motion, slide-by position sensing, and rotation angle measurements, it also offers a joystick mode with a low-gain Z-axis option, enabling the use of back-bias magnets for return-to-zero force. With three factory-programmed sensitivity ranges (500 G, 1000 G, 2000 G) and flexible I2C addressing, the ALS31300 is ideal for portable, battery-operated applications due to its highly configurable power management, including a typical 14 nA sleep mode current. Its compact 3 mm 3 mm 0.8 mm DFN package makes it suitable for space-constrained designs.
