The Allegro A33002 is a contactless 360 angle sensor IC utilizing Circular Vertical Hall (CVH) technology to provide high-resolution angular position data. Its system-on-chip (SoC) architecture integrates a CVH front end, digital signal processing for angle calculation, and selectable output protocols including SPI, SENT, and PWM. The device features on-chip EEPROM for flexible programming of calibration parameters with up to 100 read/write cycles. With on-chip 32-segment linearization, it corrects for misalignment and imperfect magnet magnetization, enhancing accuracy. The A33002 is designed for safety-critical automotive applications such as electronic power steering (EPS), transmission actuators, and BLDC pumps, supporting customer integration in accordance with ISO 26262 requirements, with single-die versions targeting ASIL B and dual-die versions targeting ASIL D. It operates across a wide temperature range (40C to 150C) and supports various programming interfaces including SPI and a unique Manchester protocol on the VCC line.
