Product Overview
The Allegro ACS726 current sensor IC family offers economical and precise AC current sensing solutions for industrial, commercial, and communications systems. These galvanically isolated sensors feature a fully differential output for superior immunity to offset drift and common mode noise. The integrated back-end amplifier (BEA) allows for externally adjustable gain and bandwidth via RC networks, and can be powered down to reduce consumption. The device's precise, low-offset Hall sensor circuit, coupled with a low-resistance copper conduction path, ensures accurate current measurement with low power loss. Typical applications include motor control, load detection and management, switched-mode power supplies, and overcurrent fault protection. The ACS726 is available in a small, low-profile QSOP24 package, ideal for space-constrained applications.
