The Allegro ACS711 is a Hall-effect linear current sensor designed for economical and precise AC or DC current sensing in <100 V audio, communications systems, and white goods. It offers a single-package solution without requiring an external sense resistor, reducing power loss with low internal conductor resistance (0.6 m for EX package, 1.2 m for LC package). The device provides an output voltage proportional to the current, with overcurrent fault trips and latches at 100% of full-scale current. Its small footprint, low-profile SOIC8 and QFN packages, and single 3 to 5.5 V supply operation make it ideal for circuit protection, current monitoring, and motor and inverter control applications.
