The Allegro ACS724/5LMC is an economical and precise Hall-effect-based current sensor IC designed for AC or DC current sensing in industrial and communication systems. Its compact package is ideal for space-constrained applications, reducing board area and costs. The device features a low-offset, linear Hall sensor with a low-resistance (265 typical) copper conduction path, enabling efficient current sensing with minimal power loss. Differential Hall sensing rejects common-mode fields for improved accuracy in noisy environments. The sensor provides a factory-trimmed, ratiometric analog output voltage proportional to the primary sensed current. Key applications include solar inverters, DC/DC converters, electric vehicle on-board chargers, motor control, load detection, switched-mode power supplies, and overcurrent fault protection. The device is AEC-Q100 automotive qualified and offers high isolation ratings.
