Product Overview
The Allegro ACS724/5LMC is an economical and precise Hall-effect-based current sensor IC designed for AC or DC current sensing in industrial and communication systems. Its compact SOIC16W-like package is ideal for space-constrained applications, reducing board area and costs. The device features a low-offset, linear Hall sensor circuit with a low-resistance (265 typical) copper conduction path, enabling efficient current sensing with minimal power loss. Differential Hall sensing rejects common-mode fields for improved accuracy in noisy environments. The output voltage is proportional to the sensed current and is factory-trimmed for high accuracy over temperature. Applications include solar inverters, DC/DC converters, electric vehicle on-board chargers, motor control, load detection, switched-mode power supplies, and overcurrent fault protection.
