The Allegro ACS781xLR is a fully integrated, automotive-grade linear Hall-effect current sensor IC designed for accurate measurement of bidirectional AC and DC currents up to 100 A. Housed in a compact, low-profile (1.5 mm thick) core-less package, it offers a small footprint and ultra-low power loss due to its 200 internal conductor resistance. The device leverages Hall sensor technology with common-mode field rejection for optimal performance in the presence of interfering magnetic fields. It features a precision, low-offset linear Hall circuit with a factory-programmed sensitivity and quiescent output voltage. Advanced technologies like chopper-stabilized signal path and digital temperature compensation ensure stability across its operating temperature range. The integrated shield provides high-level immunity to current conductor dV/dt and stray electric fields, making it suitable for high-side, high-voltage applications. The output voltage (VOUT) varies linearly with the primary current (IP), with a positive slope for increasing current.
