Product Overview
The Allegro ACS718 is a highly isolated, economical current sensor IC designed for AC or DC current sensing in industrial, commercial, and communication systems. Its small, low-profile SOICW16 wide-body package is ideal for space-constrained applications while providing the necessary creepage and clearance for high isolation. The device features a low-offset, linear Hall sensor with a low-resistance (0.85 m typical) copper conduction path, enabling efficient current sensing with minimal power loss. It is factory-calibrated for accuracy and offers a proportional analog output voltage. Typical applications include motor control, load detection and management, switched-mode power supplies, and overcurrent fault protection. The ACS718 is certified to IEC/UL 60950-1 standards for dielectric strength and isolation levels.
