Product Overview

The Allegro ACS773 family of current sensor ICs offers economical and precise AC or DC current sensing solutions. Ideal for motor control, load detection and management, power supply and DC-to-DC converter control, and inverter control, these devices feature a 2.5 s response time for overcurrent fault detection in safety-critical applications. The ACS773 utilizes a precision, low-offset linear Hall circuit with a near-die copper conduction path to generate a magnetic field proportional to the primary current. Its proprietary digital temperature compensation and integrated shield technology ensure high accuracy, temperature stability, and immunity to dV/dt and stray electric fields, making it suitable for high-side, high-voltage applications. The devices provide reinforced galvanic isolation with 4800 Vrms dielectric strength, eliminating the need for opto-isolators.
