Product Overview

The Allegro ACS72981 family of current sensor ICs offers economical and precise solutions for bidirectional AC or DC current sensing. With a 250 kHz bandwidth and a response time of less than 2 s, these sensors are ideal for applications such as motor control, load detection and management, power supply and DC-to-DC converter control, and inverter control. They are particularly suited for safety-critical applications requiring overcurrent fault detection. The ACS72981xLR utilizes a precision, low-offset linear Hall circuit with an integrated 200 copper conduction path, minimizing power loss and maximizing power density. Proprietary digital temperature compensation ensures improved accuracy over temperature and lifetime. The device employs differential sensing techniques to virtually eliminate output disturbance from common-mode magnetic fields.
