Product Overview

The Allegro ACS772 family of current sensor ICs offers economical and precise solutions for AC or DC current sensing. Designed for applications such as motor control, load detection and management, power supply and DC-to-DC converter control, and inverter control, these sensors provide a linear analog output voltage (VOUT) proportional to the primary sensed current (IP). With a typical 2.5 s response time, they enable overcurrent fault detection in safety-critical applications. The devices feature a low-offset linear Hall circuit, a 100 internal conductor resistance for ultra-low power loss, and reinforced galvanic isolation, allowing for high-side current sensing in high-voltage systems without opto-isolators. They are AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualified and offer industry-leading noise performance with a 200 kHz bandwidth.
