Product Overview

The Allegro ACS71240 is an economical and precise automotive-grade, galvanically isolated current sensor IC designed for AC or DC current sensing in industrial, automotive, commercial, and communications applications. It features a low-offset linear Hall sensor with a proprietary amplifier and filter design for industry-leading noise performance and improved bandwidth up to 120 kHz. The device offers differential sensing for high accuracy in noisy environments, integrated shield for suppressing output noise from high dv/dt transients, and patented integrated digital temperature compensation. It provides a nonratiometric output for immunity to noisy supplies, single-supply operation, and an integrated overcurrent FAULT comparator with ultrafast response time for short-circuit event detection. Available in small, low-profile surface-mount packages (QFN-12 and SOIC-8), the ACS71240 is AEC-Q100 automotive qualified and UL certified (SOIC-8 only).
