Product Overview

The Allegro ACS70331 is a high-sensitivity, 1 MHz GMR-based current sensor IC designed for <5 A current sensing applications. Leveraging Giant Magneto-Resistive (GMR) technology, it offers 25 times greater sensitivity than traditional Hall-effect sensors, enabling precise measurement of magnetic fields generated by current through its integrated low-resistance primary conductor. The sensor provides a low-noise, high-speed analog output proportional to the sensed current, with a typical response time of 535 ns. It is offered in four factory-programmed sensitivity and offset levels to optimize performance across various current measurement ranges. The differential GMR element configuration ensures high rejection of stray magnetic fields for stable operation in noisy environments. The ACS70331 operates from a single 3.3 V supply and is available in space-saving QFN-12 and SOIC-8 surface-mount packages, qualified for the commercial temperature range of 40C to 85C.
