The Allegro ACS72981 family of current sensor ICs offers economical and precise solutions for AC or DC current sensing. With a 250 kHz bandwidth, it is ideal for motor control, load detection and management, power supply and DC-to-DC converter control, and inverter control. Its <2 s response time enables overcurrent fault detection in safety-critical applications. The device utilizes a precision, low-offset linear Hall circuit with a proprietary digital temperature compensation technology for improved accuracy over temperature and lifetime. The internal resistance of the primary copper conduction path is 200 typical, ensuring low power loss and high power density. Differential sensing techniques minimize output disturbance from common-mode magnetic fields.
