Product Overview

The Allegro ACS772 family of current sensor ICs offers economical and precise solutions for AC or DC current sensing. Ideal for motor control, load detection and management, power supply and DC-to-DC converter control, and inverter control, these sensors provide a 2.5 s response time for overcurrent fault detection in safety-critical applications. They utilize a precision, low-offset linear Hall circuit with a copper conduction path to generate a magnetic field, which is converted into a proportional voltage. Key features include factory calibration, proprietary digital temperature compensation for improved accuracy and stability, and integrated shield technology for high-level immunity to dV/dt and stray electric fields, ensuring low output voltage ripple and offset drift in high-voltage applications. The devices offer reinforced galvanic isolation, simplifying high-side current sensing in high-voltage systems.
