Product Overview
The Allegro ACS772 family of current sensor ICs offers economical and precise solutions for AC or DC current sensing. Ideal for motor control, load detection and management, power supply and DC-to-DC converter control, and inverter control, these sensors feature a 2.5 s response time for overcurrent fault detection in safety-critical applications. They utilize a precision, low-offset linear Hall circuit with an integrated copper conduction path. The device generates a magnetic field proportional to the primary current, which the Hall IC converts into a proportional voltage. Proprietary digital temperature compensation and integrated shield technology enhance accuracy, temperature stability, and immunity to dV/dt and stray electric fields. The ACS772 provides reinforced galvanic isolation, eliminating the need for external opto-isolators or other isolation techniques.
