Product Overview

The Allegro ACS70331 is a highly sensitive, 1 MHz GMR-based current sensor IC designed for <5 A current sensing applications. It leverages advanced giant magneto-resistive (GMR) technology, offering 25 times greater sensitivity than traditional Hall-effect sensors. This enables precise measurement of magnetic fields generated by currents flowing through its low-resistance integrated primary conductor. The sensor provides a low-noise, high-speed analog output proportional to the current, with a typical response time of 535 ns. It is available in four factory-programmed sensitivity and offset levels to optimize performance across various current measurement ranges. The differential GMR element configuration ensures significant rejection of stray magnetic fields, leading to stable operation in noisy environments. The ACS70331 operates from a single 3.3 V supply and is qualified for the commercial temperature range of 40C to 85C. It is offered in space-saving, low-profile QFN-12 and SOIC-8 surface-mount packages.
