Product Overview
The Allegro ACS722 is a highly accurate, Hall-effect-based current sensor IC designed for AC or DC current sensing in industrial, commercial, and communication systems. Its economical and precise nature, combined with a small, low-profile SOIC16 package, makes it ideal for space-constrained applications and cost savings. The device features patented digital temperature compensation for excellent accuracy over temperature, low power loss due to its 0.85 m typical primary conductor resistance, and high isolation, enabling high-side current sensing without complex external circuitry. Typical applications include motor control, load detection and management, switched-mode power supplies, and overcurrent fault protection.
