Product Overview
The Allegro ACS725 is an economical and precise automotive-grade current sensor IC designed for AC or DC current sensing in industrial, automotive, commercial, and communications systems. Its small SOIC8 package is ideal for space-constrained applications, offering cost savings through reduced board area. The device features differential Hall sensing for common-mode field rejection, a low-resistance primary conductor (1.2 m typical) for minimal power loss and high inrush current capability, and an integrated shield to suppress output noise from high dv/dt transients. With a high-bandwidth analog output of 120 kHz and patented digital temperature compensation, the ACS725 provides accurate, ratiometric voltage output proportional to the sensed current, enabling fast response times in control applications. It is AEC-Q100 qualified and offers galvanic isolation, making it suitable for high-side current sensing without external isolation components.
