Product Overview
This Type-K thermocouple features a glass braid insulation, making it suitable for high-temperature measurements exceeding 100C, up to 500C (900F). It is designed as a bare-wire bead-probe for measuring air or surface temperatures. The fiberglass braid offers superior heat resistance compared to standard vinyl coverings, making it ideal for applications such as heaters and ovens. A small heat shrink piece at the end prevents fraying, which can be removed for temperatures above 250C. This thermocouple is recommended for use with thermocouple amplifiers like the MAX31855, AD8495, or MAX31856. A tutorial is available for thermocouple usage with CircuitPython and Arduino libraries.
