Product Overview

The Allegro ACS725 is an economical and precise automotive-grade current sensor IC designed for AC or DC current sensing in industrial, automotive, commercial, and communications systems. Its small, low-profile SOIC8 package makes it ideal for space-constrained applications, while also reducing costs through minimized board area. The device features differential Hall sensing to reject common-mode fields, enhancing accuracy in noisy environments. Key applications include motor control, load detection and management, switched-mode power supplies, and overcurrent fault protection. The ACS725 offers galvanic isolation, a low power loss due to its 1.2 m primary conductor resistance, and a high-bandwidth analog output for fast response times.
